Art & Astrology: February 9th, 2024

The New Moon in Aquarius at 2:59pm PST has started a 14 hour void-of-course period, paradoxically priming us for change while demanding that we hold our horses and finish up what’s already on our plate before starting anything new.

This New Moon is sextile the Lunar North Node and Eris while trine the South Node, suggesting that we need to tap into our maverick sides and let go of people-pleasing tendencies as we redefine our reality over the course of this Lunar cycle. But since this New Moon squares Uranus in Taurus, we may feel unsettled and restless tonight, very conscious of what is in need of radical revision in our lives.

Thankfully, Taurus’ ruler Venus in Capricorn is still trine Uranus, suggesting that we can channel that restlessness into social and creative activities, especially since casual social gatherings are a great way to make use of void-of-course periods. That will help us have conversations and make connections that bring beautiful synchronicities, the better to help us make big changes once the Crescent Moon starts to show its light.
