Art & Astrology: March 16th, 2024

The First Quarter Moon in Gemini at 9:11pm PDT is just separating from a conjunction with Vesta and applying to a square with Neptune in Pisces, heralding tomorrow morning’s Sun/Neptune conjunction. Our curious and communicative instincts and focus challenge our awareness of deep emotions, our personal thoughts swimming in the need for communal compassion. We may seek emotional security in light-hearted chatter only to find ourselves suddenly caught in an undertow of weltzschmerz – “world sorrow.”

Now is a time to use our curious hearts to listen intently to the collective outpouring of pain and sadness, bringing our conscious empathy to the experience and recognizing that we are swimming in these waters together. The great stories that empower us to get through life’s challenges are those that evoke universal feelings.
