Astro Weather: July 22nd, 2023

It’s a potentially rocky Saturday night as Venus stations retrograde in Leo at 6:33pm PDT, the Sun enters Leo at 6:50pm, and Pluto in Capricorn squares the Lunar Nodes in Aries/Libra at 9:37pm, continuing the potential sense of overwhelm from yesterday.

Venus retrograde asks us to reconsider how we connect with others, and may have us questioning our values or casting a hairy eyeball at the things we previously considered fun. With Venus ruling the South Node in Libra, we may find ourselves reminiscing about “the one that got away” or otherwise yearning for what we have lost or let go of. This retrograde season may help us come to grips with what we have needed to release and what remains.

With the Sun’s ingress into Leo, we are primed to get in touch with our hearts and find what really drives us, and what it is that we value enough in ourselves to risk putting it under the spotlight for others to see. But Pluto at the bendings of the Nodes won’t make it easy, as this transit reminds us that control is an illusion, and there are forces bigger than ourselves primed to crush our spirits. All the more reason to muster both our courage and our pride, and remember who we are at our core.
