New Astrology Videos & Lots of Divinatory Art

| Madame Ximon

What’s Happening

After a potent Full Moon in Leo on Sunday, we are now in the disseminating phase of the Waning Moon, when it is time to share what we have created during this lunation. I’ve been quiet here since the New Moon in Capricorn, but that’s mainly because I have been very busy creating art, and have a new video to share as well!

Latest Divinatory Drawing

My newest drawing in my ongoing series of divinatory drawings based in astrological transits resonates with the Full Moon in Leo, and shows a mother snow leopard with her cub, listening to the voice of the winter wind beneath the Full Moon. The sigil in the Moon directs us to “Hear the Unknown,” to gain greater understanding of what we have not previously encountered and dispel fears born out of ignorance. Change can be a good thing, after all. 🙂

A mother snow leopard sits at the base of a snow-covered mountain, sniffing the wind with her left paw raised and her right shielding her cub, as the Full Moon peeks out from behind the summit. The wind swirls through a tunnel in the snow and curls around them, with the first light of dawn coming over the ridge behind them.

New Astrology Video

Speaking of which, the planet of change Uranus stationed direct in Taurus yesterday. In turn, that has brought to the forefront themes of disruption, liberation, and the sudden awareness that shocks us awake.

This month’s astrological weather is all about much-needed change.

February brings three planetary stations among the major planets and goddess asteroids:

  • February 3rd: Uranus stationary direct in Taurus
  • February 13rd: Hygeia stationary direct in Gemini
  • February 25th: Mercury stationary retrograde in Pisces

These stations add to the action in an already spicy month, as we return to eclipse season with a Solar Eclipse on February 16th followed by the much-anticipated Saturn/Neptune conjunction at the 0° Aries World Point on February 20th.

Friend and fellow astrologer Liz Muschett recently brought me back on her show The Astrology Star Sisters to talk about these stations and the planetary alignments that colour them.

Please give us a listen and let us know what you think!

More Art!

Over the holidays I wound up with a backlog on drawings in this transit series, which I’m still playing catch-up with. However, I’m finally starting to get back on track and ready to share them here.

This piece is connected with the Scorpio New Moon all the way back in late November, within the powerful Grand Water Trine that stirred up many of our deepest and most intense feelings for much of the last quarter of 2025. For more information about this drawing (including purchasing information), check this public post on Patreon.

A Kenyan woman wearing Samburu necklaces and a dress in a swirling pattern of blue and yellow stands in the archway of an ancient palace toward the viewer's right. A warm glow as if from torchlight comes from further within the palace. The woman's hands are upraised as she smiles at the monsoon she is standing in, the raindrops splashing against her skin and running down her face and arms. To the viewer's left is an African wood owl perched in a tree, looking toward the viewer with a quizzical expression. Within a branch of lightning further to the left a sigil is visible, with another in the tree below, jungle plants clustered beneath its mossy branches.

More art shortly, but first…

Upcoming Events

January and February mark the slow season for live events. However, for those who prefer their astrology and Tarot readings in-person, I will be doing readings at the Seeds of Light event at Pickering Barn in Issaquah, Washington state, on Sunday, February 22nd. My Events page has all the details!

And More Art!

I began work on this divinatory drawing for the Full Moon in Cancer on January 3rd, at the height of the Quadrantids meteor shower. Thus, I was still working on it while Trump was bombing Venezuela, and through some of the the chaos since. As a result, I have a hard time looking at this one without seeing those meteors as missiles. 🙁

The sigil shimmering in the Moon in this drawing directs us to “Create Safety.”

After a month of this exhausting news cycle, I finally completed this drawing last week when the Moon was in Cancer again, separating from that Full Moon’s degree & conjoining Jupiter. Therefore, I take this water dragon as a good reminder to fortify ourselves with some Cancerian domestic rituals of self-care.

In my case that meant a long bath & cooking a healthy meal, right as the Moon crossed that Full Moon degree. Whatever it is for you, please do what you need to in order to rest and refuel in these… interesting times.

A pale blue Asian dragon swims in rippling blue waters in front of jungle foliage-covered karsts in Ha Long Bay beneath a Full Moon. The dragon has lifted up his head to gaze at the Moon and the Quarantids meteor shower streaking across the sky, stars twinkling through the chill night air. A pale blue sigil shimmers on the face of the Moon, directing us to "Create Safety."

Art to Empower Us

The Patreon post connected with that last piece of art also includes information on the next drawing in the series, seeded during the Last Quarter Moon in Libra on January 10th, 2 days before my birthday. It reflects the ongoing trine between the Trans-Neptunian objects Sedna in Gemini and Arawn with Pluto in Aquarius, helping us to transmute feelings of fear and helplessness into the wisdom that empowers us.

Here we see Sedna directing indigenous wisdom in the form of two salmon to nourish and instruct someone who must do battle within themselves. Facing legacies of fear, intergenerational trauma, and systemic abuse can be difficult but necessary groundwork before standing up to oppression.

The sigil on the warrior’s shield directs us to “Reclaim Inner Power.”

The stories we tell ourselves in turn shape how we will speak to, value, and treat others. This Last Quarter Moon in Libra reminded us to choose our words with love.

A pale woman with white and silver hair streaming up into the night sky stands within a stone portal, facing the viewer. She is dressed in form-fitting black, her eyes closed. She holds an upright spear in her right hand and a silver and in her left hand holds a pale blue buckler with a blue sigil on it shielding her heart. Snow swirls behind her, and pale blue flames encircle the portal. The First Crescent Moon peeks up over the edge of the portal to the viewer's left, and pale stars shine in the night sky. Below, salmon riding ocean waves surge up to either side, directed from the hands of an Inuit woman with severed fingers, who looks lovingly toward the woman in the portal, sending her the wisdom and inner strength to turn victimization into power.

Gift Cards Available!

Valentine’s Day is coming up! For those looking to get something special for a loved one, makes our beloveds feel more seen and appreciated than giving the gift of self-understanding via astrology and Tarot. These tools aid us in getting clarity about what we really want out of life and how to get it. And nothing makes giving those tools easier than Icon Alchemy electronic gift cards, good for my astrology and Tarot consulting/tutoring services and for custom artwork and hand-crafting.  🙂

A photo of the center of a deep red rose with pink highlights seen close-up, at a 3/4 angle, with only about 2/3 of the flower within the image. Across the image the words "Icon Alchemy gift card" appear in spring green letters.

And One More Drawing!

I started this drawing under the conjunction of Venus with the Trans-Neptunian Object Varda in Sagittarius on December 23rd. I finished it as Mercury applied to a conjunction with Varda that perfected on New Year’s Day. But for some unknown reason I forgot to include it in my last post here. :/

An ethereal female figure with softly glowing white skin floats before us, pale yellow light spilling from her eye sockets. She has large wings formed of rays of light streaming through a blue and orchid sky. She wears a sleeveless gown with a draped collar in white fabric with shimmers of orchid that become deeper toward the billows of fabric at her feet. She holds a glowing orb in her left hand and her right hand is raised to touch one of seven stars arcing in front of her, reminiscent of the Big Dipper constellation. A silver sigil hovers above her within her flowing hair of swirling light in blue, white, and orchid.

Varda is named for the Tolkienian “star-enkindler” and Queen of the Valar. Within Tolkien’s mythos, Varda created the Sun and Moon, arranged the constellations, and placed the star Eärendil in the heavens. Based on the timing of its appearances at the horizon in morning or evening, Eärendil most likely corresponds to the planet Venus.

Varda is invoked for protection from evil. Because of Tolkien’s Catholic faith, Varda resonates with the Virgin Mary, and is also associated with the gnostic Sophia. The Venus/Varda conjunction was joined by Juno, named for the Roman Queen of Heaven, reinforcing the celestial queen motif.

Whoever we may pray to, or whoever we choose to be now, may this image be a light in dark places for all who need it, a reminder of what and who inspires us.
