Today’s Astro Weather: April 29th, 2022

Pluto stations retrograde in Capricorn at 11:36am PDT, followed by Mercury’s ingress into his home sign of Gemini at 3:23pm. Life is complicated, but it gets more complicated when we aren’t aware of the power dynamics and unconscious patterns affecting us. From now until October 8th, we are being given the opportunity to review the power structures in our lives, our unconscious behaviors, obsessions, and compulsions, and how we participate in our own oppression.

For some of us, this means taking a step back and getting new perspective, and we may find that we gain some breathing room in the process. For those of us born under Pluto retrograde (about 40% of the population), we may find ourselves on more familiar footing with regard to these hidden forces now, though familiar doesn’t necessarily mean easier.

Mercury entering his home sign of Gemini on the same day that Pluto stations means that we may be eager to step away from Pluto’s deeper topics, yet we may also be more curious about what comes to the surface now, and more eager to talk about it. We may find it hard to resist thinking and talking about the more sordid elements that this station dredges up, and those who hide their feelings behind a mask of sociability may be extra chatty today.
