Today’s Astro Weather: October 6th, 2021

The New Moon in Libra at 4:05am PDT occurs within minutes of the fixed star Algorab and Pluto stations direct in Capricorn at 11:29am PDT. Algorab is a star in the constellation of the Raven, having the nature of Mars and Saturn. With this New Moon closely conjoining Mars, that martial influence is amplified and testing our patience. Yet Mars in the sign of his detriment and on this fixed star associated with deceit and destruction suggests that any intentions that we set for this lunar cycle need to be made with extra attention to honesty and safety. This is particularly true under the ongoing influence of Mercury retrograde.

With all of the outer and social planets currently also retrograde, many of them slowing to station, many of us have the feeling of being mired in molasses and ready to chew off a limb to get free. With Pluto stationing direct today, we may find that all of the accumulated frustrations of the past several months come spilling out into the open soon, whether by word or by deed. Change is in the air, but not without some havoc.
