Venus Retrograde in Scorpio: New Astrology Video and New Art
One Month, Three Planetary Stations
We’ve survived an astrologically tempestuous weekend, with the triple whammy of a fractious T-Square between Mercury in Mars-ruled Scorpio, Mars in Leo, and Pluto-Charon in Aquarius, as Venus stationed retrograde while in detriment in Scorpio and trined an emotional Moon domiciled in sensitive Cancer.
That starts off a month with three planets stationing – Venus retrograde, Pluto-Charon direct, and Mercury retrograde, which highlights all of their themes throughout October. All three of these planets are moving slowly from our vantage point, and thus remain in repeated contact with each other for the entire month, giving us time to dive deep into the emotional underpinnings of our relationships, our communication, and our understanding of power.
My friend and fellow astrologer Liz Muschett brought me back on her show The Astrology Star Sisters to talk about these stations and some of the planetary alignments colouring them.
Please give us a listen and let us know what you think!
Upcoming Events
We’re now heading into spooky season, which tends to also be the busy season for Tarot readers in particular. That means that after doing a limited number of live events this year, I’ve actually got three events in Washington state all happening in one month!
For those who prefer their astrology and Tarot readings in-person, I’ll be reading Tarot at Aura Song Gifts’ Halloween Party in Auburn on October 10th, then at the Centralia Ghost Walk and Dark Market on October 16th & 17th, and finally back at the PNW Witches’ Market Samhain Celebration on October 25th, in Lynnwood. My Events page has all the details!
More Art and Another Video to Come!
I’ve been quiet here for a while after a fairly intense trip to and from Chicago by train for the United Astrology Conference, which kept me busy with astrology lectures and travel for the first two weeks of September and then busy recovering for the next two weeks. o.O
But I’m making up for lost time this month! I’ve been doing post-processing on photos and creating new photo manipulations, included here in this post. Plus, Liz Muschett and I will have another video out this week about the New Moon in Libra. Added to which, I’m currently finishing up divinatory art from August that should be ready to share in my next post here. 🙂
Stay tuned!
New Icon Alchemy Online Shop!
Despite the challenges of this past month, I have been busy behind the scenes, and at long last have finally set up a store here on the Icon Alchemy website where I can sell my prints, original art, hand-knits, and whatever other pretty things I create. Like other small businesses, I’ve been increasingly cranky with Etsy and the print-on-demand sites where I’ve previously posted my art for sale, so therefore I’m choosing to refocus my attention here, and will be continuing to add new items in the weeks to come. Welcome to the new Icon Alchemy shop!
