“It’s complicated.”
It’s an apt summation for the modern age, full of information, technology, and epistemologies all ripe for transformation. What that transformation will be remains to be seen.
Pluto has been stationing retrograde in Aquarius today, shifting our willingness to dig deep into our collective thoughts, the better to see where our individual minds need to reinforce or limit the influence of the zeitgeist. For some this can feel strangely isolating, as it can take time and single-mindedness to engage with the Plutonian process of excavating past traumas and navigating power dynamics that have set the foundations of how we perceive ourselves as part of the human family.
The good news is, we are doing this collectively, whether or not we can see past our own struggles enough to recognize them in the mirrors being held up to us by our fellows, and the mirrors we hold up to them in return.
