New Astrology Videos: New Moon and Gemini Ingress
1st Video: New Moon in Taurus
This weekend’s New Moon in Taurus conjoins Mercury and Ceres, and more loosely conjoins Uranus in Gemini. That makes for a strange mix of the exalted Moon’s pragmatism and comfort-loving tendencies getting stirred up with a Uranian frisson, as Mercury prepares to herald Gemini season by entering their domicile on Sunday morning and perfecting their conjunction with Uranus on Sunday night. The first sliver of Crescent Moonlight may bring surprises, particularly in relation to technology, communication, and travel.
The Moon conjunct Ceres in a sign associated with financial stability and creature comforts can quite literally signify appetite – this is not a time to force ourselves to adhere to restrictive diets! But with Saturn in Aries square Hygeia in Cancer and Mars conjoining Chiron in Aries, we may be more mindful of our limitations now, and ready to take better care of our health and well-being over the long haul, once we pull ourselves out of the New Moon’s impetus to eat and rest.
Thankfully, Taurus’ ruler Venus in Gemini sextiles that Mars/Chiron conjunction, encouraging us to connect with others and talk about what’s bothering us. That in turn can motivate us to come up with helpful strategies and partnerships for the future, even as we indulge in Taurean comforts now.

2nd Video: Gemini Ingress
Liz Muschett has once again brought Joy Vernon and myself back onto her show “The Astrology Star Sisters” to talk about the astrological weather through the lens of Tarot, with a focus on this upcoming week’s Gemini ingress and the surrounding transits.
During this episode we take an in-depth look at the separating conjunction of Gemini’s ruler Mercury with Uranus that the Sun enters into on Wednesday. We also pay special attention to the Venus/Jupiter conjunction happening in Cancer later in Gemini season. As usual, Joy and I do side-by-side interpretations of the Tarot cards from the Rider-Waite-Smith deck and the Thoth deck to explore the archetypes associated with the planets and aspects connected to the Gemini ingress.
This gives Tarot students and enthusiasts a chance to compare and contrast these two iconic decks, while learning about the cards that correspond to the current astrological weather. And of course we draw cards to see what will help us make best use of the lively quality of time that starts off this Gemini season.

3rd Video: Planets Stationing
Pluto, the generational planet of transformation and collective will stationed retrograde earlier this month. As Pluto retraces his steps through the social sign of Aquarius, we are being asked to contemplate our own intellectual depths in relation to systemic power dynamics while navigating the discord between our current material conditions and the consensus reality we have previously accepted. Our justifications and willingness to resist, acquiesce, or fervently support the status quo are all up for scrutiny over the next 5 months, but that process of examination is likely to be more internal than external.
