Beltane Art Under the Pink Scorpio Moon

A Blessed Beltane to all!

Tonight’s Full Moon in Scorpio is ruled by Mars, who is still in the ongoing Aries stellium of major and minor planets (Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, Chiron, Eris, Borasisi-Pabu, Manwe-Thorondor, Leleākūhonua, Salacia-Actaea, Pallas, and Okyrhoe). That stellium is the subject of my latest divinatory drawing.

I started this drawing when Mars entered Aries and conjoined Neptune on April 12th, and finished it this morning while the Moon in Scorpio trined the Lunar North Node in Pisces, the sign of my natal Mars and North Node.

A Strong Will and Good Boundaries

The wolf is an animal of Mars, patrolling boundaries & keeping us alert to what is happening behind the scenes. While our current times call on us to abandon the “lone wolf” archetype in favor of greater community and connection, so many planets in Aries at once are forcing us to get a good look at who we are as individuals, the better to know who we are willing and able to connect with in the long haul.

The Full Moon is at the apex of a Yod from Venus in Gemini sextile Saturn in Aries while conjoining the TNO Rhadamanthus in Scorpio, confronting our more judgmental feelings and extreme reactions. The Sun in comfort-loving Taurus reminds us that good self care can help us release our emotional tension and exercise more kindness as we get to the bottom of the mystery in our own reflection.

The sigil in the fog tendrils stirred by a playful breeze in this wolf’s territory directs us to “Dare to be Unique.” The work we are doing to know ourselves now will make us better members of the pack in the days to come. Honoring our differences makes for a stronger whole.
