Today’s Astro Weather: August 20th, 2022

Mars enters Gemini at 0:56am PDT, beginning an unusually long period of 7 months in this sign, thanks to a retrograde from October 30th to January 12th.

Mars in Gemini takes action through words, and Mars in Gemini natives know exactly the right words to say to escalate or win a fight. This can be a real button-pushing transit, and it makes us more likely to stir the pot out of curiosity or boredom, so we may see more volatility in whatever area of our chart contains Gemini. Since Gemini is a social sign, there is also a greater danger of social conflict during this transit.

At the same time, those of us who work in communications-oriented fields may see more action now and find ourselves getting more done. Plus, this Mars is finally moving out of the Fixed Grand Cross that has been plaguing us for the past few weeks, and Mars in Gemini is far more adaptable than Mars in Taurus, so we may finally see much-needed movement and action where we have been stuck. Mars in Gemini moves like a whirlwind, but that might be exactly what is needed now to clear the air and enliven our minds.
