Astro Weather: August 11th, 2023

Mars in Virgo is quincunx Chiron in Aries at 5:11am PDT, followed by Juno in Cancer square the Lunar Nodes in Aries/Libra at 7:32am.

Chiron in Aries is a guest in Mars’ home sign, but both host and guest are currently bewildered by each other. Mars in Virgo wants to cultivate healthy habits, to get what we want through precision and consistent application of effort. Chiron in Aries reminds us of of where our actions have injured us, where our energy is limited, where we lack the independence to apply ourselves as swiftly as we desire.

Meanwhile, Juno in Cancer wants to build and honor close relationships that can protect and nurture us, but at the bendings of the Nodes those efforts can feel like a distraction from all the work toward self-sufficiency that we are being called toward now.

Together, these transits can start the day on a note of instability and uncertainty, as we may struggle to find the balance between self-assured progress and the desire for comforting connections with acknowledgement of what hurts.
