Astro Weather: August 23rd, 2023

The Sun enters Virgo at 2:01am PDT, followed by Virgo’s ruler Mercury stationing retrograde at 12:59pm. That makes for an unusual beginning to Virgo season, as Mercury’s station takes Virgo’s normal powers of discernment and turns them on their ear. Virgo likes getting into all of the minutia, tweaking and fine-tuning, but now we are being encouraged to look backward in order to find out what’s been keeping us from moving forward. Virgo is growth-oriented, so while we may feel a little discombobulated with the shift in our thinking today, once we get our land legs under us we might actually enjoy the trouble-shooting process we’re being launched into.
