Astro Weather: January 11th, 2024

Today’s New Moon in Capricorn squares the Lunar Nodes in Aries/Libra while trine Uranus in Taurus, and is followed by Taurus’ ruler Venus in Sagittarius trine Chiron in Aries. This Lunar cycle may involve a bit of bucking fate, while simultaneously recognizing where we can’t escape life’s hardships, and cultivating greater sympathy for our humanity in the process.

Capricorn is known for persevering through challenges, taking the long view, and being willing to delay gratification in hopes of greater rewards down the line. The New Moon in the third decan of Capricorn has a sense of being called to a greater destiny, but the square to the Nodes challenges us to step into our purpose in a way that meets both our own needs and the needs of the world around us. This is the crossroads between personal and collective karma.

Who will we become at this moment in history, and how will we shape our world? We are being driven by powerful forces both around and within us, and the will to succeed could easily cloud our empathy. But this is not a time for ignoring our values and our connections. Our achievements are meaningless if they can’t be shared, and our vulnerabilities bring us together in ways our strengths cannot.

Great changes are on the horizon for all of us. Now is the time to face and embrace them, and become our best selves in the process.
