Art & Astrology: July 5th, 2024 – New Moon in Cancer

The Astrological Weather

The New Moon in Cancer at 3:57pm PDT squares the Lunar Nodes in Aries/Libra and forms a Cardinal Grand Cross with Ceres in Capricorn. We may feel beckoned to do all the things, but the more we try to do, the less we are likely to get done. We are being encouraged to achieve greater equilibrium between our personal lives and our public lives, our foundations, our goals, and the growth ahead of us.

With Saturn in Pisces loosely trine this lunation, we can access more emotional stability and patience with which to achieve this equilibrium, and to feel into our intentions for the month ahead. Then with Saturnian discipline and perseverance we can use the intuition of the domiciled Moon to shape those intentions and harness the starting power revved up by that Cardinal Grand Cross, as we move forward with the Crescent Moon’s light.

That trine from Saturn to the New Moon forms a Minor Grand Trine with Mars in Taurus, offering a steady drive with which to act on the intentions that we are setting. This configuration can help us cultivate a sense of emotional security as we address our material needs, and offers both wisdom and increased executive function with which to achieve our goals in the month ahead.
